Side Note: Ullr Fest Next Week
Check out next week’s Ullr Fest and Ullr Parade. During Ullr Fest in Breckenridge, about 12,000 participants celebrate with the winter god of Norse mythology. Ullr traveled through the Northern Forests on skis or skates. Skiers and snowboarders don their best horned Viking hats. Snow sculptors chisel out their giant blocks of ice. Festivities begin Wednesday, January 11, and continue through Saturday, January 14, 2017. This is the 54th year of Ullr celebrations in Breckenridge.
While you are here, ski in or hop on the free shuttle to make your way to more of Summit County’s others ski areas. Within 20 minutes, you could be on your way up runs in Keystone or Copper Mountain.
