Lake Dillion is now the highest mountain lake in North America. The town incorporated on April 5, 1967. Today Silverthorne is a favorite for locals and home to 4,000.
Summit County School District serves students at Silverthorne Elementary, Summit Middle, and Summit High schools. Local campuses of Colorado Mountain College offer another boon to education in Summit County.
From Denver, take Interstate 70 West to Highway 9. Turn north on Highway 9 and then take a right on Fernalld Lane. Turn right on Sage Creek Canyon Drive. Most of the properties sit along the Sage Creek Canyon Drive loop in Silverthorne CO 80498.
