New listings are still running at the same pace (about 10% fewer this year). Properties that are currently under contract have dropped this past week but are still 30% ahead of last year at this time. The number of residential properties that have sold in Summit County this year dropped a tad and is now up just a bit under 8%.
Recent activity this past week show a slight improvement in properties going under contract and sold and still a marked decrease in the number of active listings coming on the market. For example, last year for the past week the county gained 100 new active listings and this year for that same week the county gained 75.
The North Side of the County sales are up 29% (down from 30% last week) and the South Side of the County sales are down 15% (same as last week). The county average sold price remains down about minus 5%. The South Side average sold price is down 7% and the North Side average sold price is up 8%.
